There is a very particular kind of “tired” that feels almost new to the human species. And I am willing to bet that, without another word from me, you already know exactly which version of tired I mean.
It is the real exhaustion of being exceptional at life on paper and quietly disappearing inside it. By every external measure, you are “winning.” But somewhere in the middle of the day you catch your reflection and don’t quite recognize the person you see.
