I Did Everything Right. And It All Felt Wrong.
For twenty years I built a career inside advertising and marketing, serving brands like Deloitte, Coca-Cola, and The Home Depot. I was the highest performer in the room and the most depleted person in it.
Then one Thanksgiving, on the sofa at my father's house in New Orleans, I told myself to stop living in black and white and start living by way of grey.
I sat on that idea for ten years. Then I built it.
